What Will I Learn?

During the medical billing and coding program you will receive the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training needed to effectively perform entry-level billing and coding positions in a variety of different healthcare settings. 

While there is a greater emphasis on medical billing and coding, the general education and office and business components provide graduates with greater career flexibility. Students will gain a firm knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations, in addition to compliance and reimbursement, as well as, understand the medical reimbursement cycle, to help ensure that healthcare providers are accurately and efficiently paid for the services they perform.

Equally important, you will learn a variety of skills and will be able to immerse yourself in a hands-on externship experience to help you apply everything you have learned and prepare you for work.
